Narrative Contest «ANA FRANK»

History

The journey of this competition so far has been quite brief: the idea arose in June 2018 (strange as it may seem that creativity could spring up amidst end-of-year reports and files) and little by little, doing everything for the first time, it took shape. By September, we had a complete list of activities (or so we thought) that would need to be carried out, sequenced logically and chronologically… but we couldn’t even agree on a name for our competition.

Finally, the name “Anne Frank” won, not so much for what that teenager symbolizes, but rather for the solace she surely found in writing. We often encounter students who tell us they don’t like to read (and even more frequently, that they’re “not good” at writing), and we believe it’s our job to convince them, giving them the opportunity to read what they might enjoy (without adult prejudices), to help them discover possibilities, and to allow their creativity to awaken before a blank page.

Following the success of previous editions, we approach this third edition with the same enthusiasm, perhaps even more, to receive stories that will find an appreciative reader here.
